no non onononoon
I did some rough recording last night with Torry and the guys from Vindico Sound. It didn’t go as well as I thought it would. It had more to do with me and a song that I thought was better than it was than with any of them.
It’s a funny thing when you record. Everything is naked. There’s no hiding the song, well, at least at first. After you lay down a few tracks you can mix it up and add things to it that make it indiscernible from the acoustic demo it started off as. It’s at that starting point that a song is the most organic. It can grow into anything and that is both exciting and scary. It all turned out well in the end. I got what I came for.
I’ve been wanting to demo some new stuff for a record I’m planning on doing. Right now I’m undecided as to whether it will be released under my own name or some other moniker. We shall see.
I’m also trying to decided where to record it. There are a few places in Seattle with great producers, but it’s all very expensive. But sometimes it’s probably better to fork over a bunch of cash to achieve the goals you want to as far as recording goes. I’m young now and I probably wont get the opportunity to throw a bunch of cash at recording a few years down the road. The music thing has to happen when you’re young. You roll the dice and see what can happen. We shall see.

bookins
I've been booking a bunch of shows lately. Pretty excited about it. I've decided to not be so picky about where/when I play. Its a pretty relieving thing.
If you're reading this check out my MySpace page for upcoming shows. Hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Chris
